Dr Ben Nguyen

Dr Ben Nguyen is a Staff Specialist at St Vincent’s Hospital and a Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. He has ongoing research collaborations with the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and is a Clinical Lecturer for the University of Sydney. He undertook his Respiratory and Sleep Medicine training at Royal Prince Alfred, Concord Repatriation General and Campbelltown Hospitals and completed a Sleep Medicine Fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Dr Nguyen is completing a PhD assessing the effects of positive airway pressure therapy in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and comorbid sleep disordered breathing and has presented his findings at both national and international respiratory and sleep society meetings and published in a number of peer reviewed journals.  He currently manages a wide variety of sleep disorders including sleep disordered breathing, narcolepsy, parasomnias and restless legs syndrome. He is also interested in seeing patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions.
