Biography
Dr Benjamin Trewin completed his BAppSc (Exercise, Sport Science & Nutrition) in 2007 and MBBS in 2012 at The University of Sydney. He completed his FRACP in Neurology in 2019 at St Vincent's, Royal Prince Alfred, and Concord Hospitals.
He completed his PhD in Neuroimmunology in 2024 and has published numerous articles in high-impact journals on Multiple Sclerosis (MS), MOG antibody disease (MOGAD), Neuromyelitis Optica (NMOSD), and Autoimmune Encephalitis. He delivered an oral platform presentation at the European Committee for Treatment and Research in MS (ECTRIMS) Annual Meeting in Copenhagen in 2024 on MOGAD treatment.
He has specialist expertise in managing all autoimmune neurological disorders that affect the brain and spinal cord. He has also developed extensive experience in assessing patients with headache and performing Botox procedures for migraine, hyperhidrosis, and bruxism, and performing Greater (and lesser) Occipital Nerve Blocks ("GON Blocks") in patients with occipital neuralgia, cluster headache, and migraine.
