Biography
Mark is a consultant haematologist who holds a dual appointment with The Kirby Institute for Infection and Immunity and St Vincent's Hospital Sydney. He is an NHMRC Australian Clinical Research Fellow and the Cancer Institute NSW Future Research Leader Fellow. Mark leads the joint Kirby Institute/St Vincent's clinical research program in cancer and immune deficiency, which is unique in the Asia Pacific. He established and is the principal investigator for the Australian site of the U.S. National Cancer Institute AIDS Malignancy Consortium, their only core site outside the United States.
Mark sees patients with the full range of blood disorders, with a particular interest in the prevention and treatment of blood disorders and cancers occurring in people with HIV and other immune deficiencies or chronic viral infections.
