Dr Shiva Rayar

Dr Shiva Rayar graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle in 2007 and trained as a junior doctor at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney. His performance was recognised with the Senior Resident of the Year award. He went on to complete his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and concurrently undertook subspecialty training with the Australasian Society for HIV Medicine in 2013.

As a Specialist General Practitioner Shiva has worked in sexual health, refugee health and indigenous health. He has co-facilitated HIV and STI education programmes with the RACGP, ASHM and ACON. During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic he was given the opportunity to work in rural and remote NSW with the Royal Flying Doctors Service.

It is with this diverse breadth of experience that Shiva has laid down roots at Holdsworth House to provide considered and compassionate care for his patients.
