Dr Gemma Winkler

Dr Gemma Winkler is a consultant Rheumatologist dedicated to providing thorough and considerate care based on current medical evidence. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Western Australia, where she graduated with honours. She also holds a degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Newcastle. Dr Winkler completed her physician training at Prince of Wales and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals, with additional rural placements in Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour and Wagga Wagga.

Dr Winkler has interests in research, having presented nationally and internationally at both Rheumatology and Dermatology conferences.

Dr Winkler has worked at Royal Prince Alfred hospital as a staff specialist, where she ran a general rheumatology clinic. She is interested in all aspects of general rheumatology, with particular interests in inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders and vasculitis.
